Frequently Asked Questions


What will I need to buy for my soccer players? Your player will need soccer cleats, shin guards, soccerball, and a water jug. For Uniforms see below.

   

What size ball do I need to get? Players aged U5-U8 need a size 3, players U9-U12 need a size 4, and U13 and older need size 5.  


Who coaches Bixby Soccer recreational players?  All BSC recreational coaches are volunteers.   These coaches volunteer their time and effort to coach youth players every season.   The majority of these volunteers are parents just like you.   Without volunteer parents we can not guarantee coaches for all teams.  If you are interested in coaching please contact our Registrar below for more information.


When will we be contacted from our team coach?   For recreational teams, coaches are given their team packets usually 2-3 weeks before first regular season game.   It is then the coaches responsibility to contact the parents of his/hers players and set up practices.   You should be contacted by your shortly after the coaches meeting.   Fall season usually start weekend after Labor Day and for the Spring the first weekend in March.   This applys to recreational teams only including our Closed leagues (U5, U6, U8 girls and boys).


My child is involved in many other activities.   What about practices or game conflicts? The times and locations of your practices are determined by the team coach.   We can not place a player on a specific team that practices at a certain location or at certain times.   BSC does not reschedule league games or practices because of conflicts with another acitivty.


When and where are the games played?   For all closed leagues U5, U6, and U8 teams, all games are held a Keas Fields and regularly scheduled on Saturdays.   Traveling recreational teams U10 and above will play all thier home games at Keas Fields and away games will typically be within Northeast OK region.


When will schedules be available?   The Spring season typically begins the first Saturday of March and the Fall season the first Saturday after Labor Day.  The entire season schedule will be posted and available no later than the Wednesday before the 1st game. 


What about uniforms?   Players aged U5 and U6 will receive BSC club t-shirts (red and blue) as part of their registration.   These are available for pickup at the Keas Field concessions stand on opening weekend of games.   All U8 and above players are required to wear the BSC approved uniform (shirt, shorts, and socks) during each match.   These uniform kits can be purchased from Gorfam Athletics, LLC 918-806-2600.


What color uniforms do we wear for games?   The home team will always wear their lightest colored uniforms.  For U5 and U6 home team on schedule wears Red and away team wears Blue.   For U8 girls home team wears white away team wears red.   For all U8 and above home is white jersey and away is red (girls) or blue (boys).   If there is a conflict the home team is generally responsible for changing shirts.   Please make sure that each player brings both jerseys to each game.


What is the refund policy?   No refunds of registration fees will be allowed after players are registered with Bixby Soccer club, except in cases of financial hardships, medical reasons, a move by the player to an area outside the Club's boundary or failure of the club to place a player on a BSC team roster.   Such refunds will be in the amount of one-half (1/2) of the registration fee paid, except in the cases of failure of the club to place a player on a BSC team roster which shall constitute a full refund.   No refunds shall be granted after the first regular season game.
